The Roanoke River Partners' Sustainable Forestry and Retention Project has opened registration for their Forest Landowners Conference to be held at the Rocky Mount Event Center on October 24-25, 2024. This was a great event last year, and I (Branan) am privileged to speak again on land title transfer and succession planning. Our format this year will feature presentation by panelists including myself, Kurt Smith, Assistant Professor with Forestry, and Ms. Pamela Harrigan-Young, JD, CPA, a lawyer practicing in rural estate and title matters. The panel serves as a continuing iteration of the Heirs' Property at the Community Level series collaboration between NC State and NC A&T.
