Nicholas Brown, contributor for Farm Law & Tax, recently gave a presentation in Sylva, North Carolina that covered the legal tools used to create a seamless farm succession plan.  Thanks to the efforts of individuals like Minda Daughtry, the event had a great turnout with good food and a very engaged audience. Brown's presentation covered the in's and out's of a healthcare power-of-attorney, statutory power-of-attorney, wills, and various types of trusts.  Brown also provided a 'frequently asked questions' section at the end of the presentation, designed after having many experiences in private practice with farmers who encountered similar issues.
